The Chamber of Commerce Hawaii is preparing for its third annual Hawaii on the Hill on June 7 and 8.

The two-day itinerary includes historical tours, a welcome reception at the historic President Woodrow Wilson House, a comprehensive legislative policy summit on Capitol Hill, and will be capped off with a “Taste of Hawaii on the Hill” event, showcasing Hawaii’s foods, culture and industries to more than a thousand members of Congress, national association executives and other representatives.

More than 30 organizations statewide have signed up to join Hawaii on the Hill, representing a wide variety of industries and sectors.

Chef Sam Choy will join Hawaii on the Hill for the first time, in partnership with Tiki Shark Art on Hawaii Island.

U.S. Senator Mazie Hirono, Chamber of Commerce Hawaii’s partner for Hawaii on the Hill, is the overall chair of this effort, with Senate President Ron Kouchi as State Honorary Chair, and Mayors Bernard Carvalho and Alan Arakawa as honorary chairs for Kauai and Maui participants, respectively.

“A wide variety of industries will be showcased including our food and beverage, manufacturing, agriculture and innovation and technology,” said chamber president and CEO Sherry Menor-McNamara. “Companies include Innovate Hawaii, Hawaiian Chip Company, Hawaii Crop Improvement Association, The Orchid Lei Company, Navatek, and Matson. Kauai also has the largest group of companies joining the effort, which is why Senator Kouchi is our state honorary chair.”
