Patents Reflect the Economic and Agricultural Contributions of Hawaii's Seed Crop Industry

Hawaii’s seed crop industry was issued nine patents last year for soy and corn that’s insect-resistant and corn that’s hardy enough to stand up to strong winds.  These biotech successes are a result of Hawaii’s perfect climate for planting and a reflection of the agricultural and economic contributions the seed crop industry continues to make to Hawaii.
