DUPONT PIONEER HOLDS OPEN HOUSE IN WAIMEA
Event held in celebration of company's 90th anniversary
WAIMEA, KAUA'I (MAY 7, 2016) - In celebration of the company's 90th anniversary, Dupont Pioneer welcomed Kaua'i residents to tour and enjoy festivities at the Waimea Research Center. Hundreds of guests enjoyed family activities and facility tours, hearing directly from employees about Pioneer's contributions to the local farming community. Pioneer employees showcased the company's plant breeding technology and corn and soybean crops.
With roots on Kaua'i, Pioneer began its operations in Waimea in 1968 and continues to play a significant role in advancing agriculture in Hawai'i and around the world. Since its founding by Henry A. Wallace as the Hi-Bred Corn Company in 1926, Dupont Pioneer has grown to become a leading developer and supplier of both conventional and genetically engineered seeds, and is proud to today be a trusted partner to farmers throughout the world.
